Stirling Albion manager Greig McDonald and his assistant Marc McCulloch have resigned in the wake of Saturday's 4-0 defeat to Stenhousemuir at Forthbank.

The former East Fife defender replaced Jocky Scott in December 2011 and guided the Binos to promotion via the play-offs in May of this year.

However, the club are bottom of League 1 and have taken just two points from their last seven matches, failing to score in six of them.

Stirling's next match is at home to an Airdrie team three points above them in the table and they face a Scottish Cup tie at Hurlford the following weekend.
