Stirling Albion boss Greig McDonald hailed his players after they ended the season with a 4-1 win at home to Clyde on Saturday to set up a play-off against Annan.
A Jordan White double and goals from Ross Forsyth and Phil Johnston sent them into Wednesday’s Forthbank meeting with Jim Chapman’s men on a high.
McDonald said: “We played some great stuff. We were determined to finish third and we are probably the form team in the division with five wins and two draws in our last seven games.
“It’s great for the supporters and I hope the people of Stirling will come out in big numbers to back us against Annan on Wednesday night.”
Clyde manager Jim Duffy, whose side face East Fife at Broadwood in midweek before heading to Methil on Saturday, said: “There were a few guys running on empty by the end and that showed in the last 10 minutes. Stirling deserved to win but the final result was a bit harsh.”
