Blues sign McKenna

Stair Park side bring in striker

David McKenna in action for Brechin CityStranraer have signed former St. Mirren and Stirling Albion striker David McKenna who has just been released by Brechin City.

The 26-year-old scored on his debut as a 16-year-old schoolboy for the Saints back in April 2003 and he spent 4 seasons in Paisley before playing over 100 times for Stirling and then passing a similar landmark with the Glebe Park side.

Stair Park boss Stephen Aitken said: “It was a surprise to me when David was allowed to leave Brechin but as soon as I heard I went racing for his signature. He is a player I have admired for some time and I am delighted to have persuaded him to sign for Stranraer.”
