Airdrieonians manager Gary Bollan has signed a new contract that will keep him at the Excelsior Stadium until May 2016.
The Diamonds looked to be heading for relegation when the former Livingston boss took over in October but they ended the season on a remarkable run of just one defeat in 16 games - and that was against champions Rangers.
Chairman Jim Ballantyne told the club website: "Since Gary joined us, there has been a slow and steady improvement in nearly every aspect of the club's performance and it was important that if we want this to continue that we secured the services of our manager as soon as possible.
"We feel we have started a journey that the Board and the fans believe in and we would like the manager to take us to the next level."
Bollan added: "I now have a chance to repay the faith the club put in me and planning for next season is well under way. I hope that the fans will back me, the players, and the Board which will allow us to move forward together."
