Jonny Stewart has been named as Bonnyrigg Rose's new manager, the William Hill League 2 has announced.
Stewart was a popular figure as a player at New Dundas Park from 2014 until 2024 when he departed to join Lowland League side Tranent as boss.
He replaces Calum Elliot, who was sacked following the 1-0 defeat to Edinburgh City, which leaves the club in a battle to avoid 10th spot and a pyramid play-off place.
Stewart told Bonnyrigg's website: "I am absolutely delighted to be back at the club, it is a real honour to be appointed Bonnyrigg Rose manager. It’s no secret my love for the club and I hope to install that passion into the squad.
"We are in a difficult position but I believe we have more than enough to get ourselves safe. We’ve been in this position before and will need to rely on our previous experience with everyone pulling in the same direction."
