Kenneth signs for Brechin City

League 1 Brechin City have signed Scotland internationalist Garry Kenneth until the end of the season

League 1 Brechin City have signed Scotland internationalist Garry Kenneth until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old began his career at Dundee United and helped them win the 2010 Scottish Cup before making his Scotland debut in a friendly against Sweden in August of that year.

Kenneth moved to Bristol Rovers in July 2012 on a three-year contract but he was released in December 2013 after an injury-hit spell and headed home to his native Tayside.

Brechin manager Ray McKinnon said: “It is no secret that I have been looking for experience in defence and Garry brings that in abundance. We have had to be patient to sign him but we have him now and hopefully he will help us climb into the play-off zone.”
