Brechin to lose Ryan

The fractured cheekbone suffered by Hamilton Accies striker Mickael Antoine-Curier on Saturday has had ramifications at League 1 Brechin City.

Antoine-Curier goes through an operation tomorrow and will be out for six weeks and the New Douglas Park side will recall striker Andy Ryan from a loan spell to provide cover.

The 19-year-old joined Brechin in the middle of October, and has played three games and scored once, but will return to Hamilton after this Saturday’s game with Ayr United.

Brechin boss Ray McKinnon said: “It is a disappointing situation but Andy is a Hamilton player. He has done well here and hopefully he will sign off with a great performance on Saturday.”
