Brown strikes as Celtic win at Pittodrie

Celtic beat Aberdeen 1-0 at Pittodrie on Sunday in their first match since being crowned Scottish Premiership champions last weekend.

Scott Brown scored the only goal early in the second half, prodding the ball home from close range after excellent work by Stuart Armstrong on the left.

Both sides missed good chances in a keenly-contested encounter, with Aberdeen substitute Lawrence Shankland passing up a great opportunity to equalise when he headed a Jonny Hayes cross wide with two minutes left.

Celtic forced some fine saves from Dons keeper Scott Brown as they made it four wins out of four against Aberdeen this season.
