Forfar boss Dick Campbell has praised former Scotland goalkeeper Rab Douglas – and reckons the 42-year-old is the best in League 1.
Douglas made a vital late block from Scott Gray in Saturday’s 2-1 win at Airdrie before Gavin Swankie netted the clincher to keep them a point clear of Dunfermline at the top of the table.
Campbell said: “That was a world-class save - if you have the best goalkeeper in the league you kind of expect saves like that but it is still great when he does it.
“He did not have much to do in the game overall but came dashing off his line really quickly - he is some size of a boy coming towards you.”
