Hamilton Accies moved to the top of the Scottish Premiership after beating Celtic 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Ali Crawford scored the only goal early in the second half and that proved decisive as Accies, who have now taken 13 points out of 15 on the road, won at Celtic Park for the first time since 1938.

Alex Neil's team, who were promoted via the play-offs, are eight games unbeaten in the SPFL since losing to Inverness CT on the opening day.

They go into the international break a point clear of Dundee United and resume their campaign against Aberdeen at New Douglas Park on Friday October 17, live on BT Sport at 7.45pm.

Celtic remain sixth in the table but have a game in hand. Their next match is at Ross County on Saturday October 18, live on Sky Sports at 12.45pm.

In the day's other game, the Highland derby ended all square as Inverness CT hit back to earn a 1-1 home draw with bottom club Ross County.

Yoann Arquin headed the visitors in front and they dominated the first half but it was a different story after the break as Caley Thistle responded with a goal from Marley Watkins.
