Captain Callum McGregor also had a penalty saved as Ange Postecoglou's side earned a deserved win over their opponents from Hungary.
Celtic face Ferencvaros again on matchday four on Thursday November 4 and are then away to Bayer Leverkusen before hosting Real Betis on matchday six.
