Charlie Mulgrew opened the scoring and Anthony Stokes added the second before Kris Commons grabbed a double for Neil Lennon's side.

Aberdeen are up to second place thanks to a 1-0 win at Kilmarnock. Mark Reynolds headed the only goal with just seven minutes left but Nicky Low was red carded in stoppage time.

Partick Thistle moved out of the bottom two with a 2-0 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle. On-loan Lyle Taylor and Aaron Taylor-Sinclair scored in the first half and the Jags held on despite having Stuart Bannigan sent off in the closing stages.

David Goodwillie and Brian Graham scored in the last seven minutes as Dundee United hit back to draw 2-2 with Hibernian at Tannadice. Hibs led through a Liam Craig double, one from the penalty spot, but had to settle for a point.
