The SPFL has been in discussion with Cowdenbeath FC regarding arrangements for the SPFL Championship Play-Off Final, due to the fact there is a date clash for the second leg (Sunday 18 May) with another event being held at the club’s registered home ground of Central Park.
Should Cowdenbeath progress to the SPFL Championship Play-Off Final by defeating Ayr United over two legs in this week’s Semi-Final, then the venues for the two legs of the Final will be switched.
This would mean Cowdenbeath playing the winner of the other Semi-Final, Dunfermline Athletic or Stranraer, at Central Park in the first leg of the SPFL Championship Play-Off Final on Wednesday, 14 May (kick-off 7.45pm).
The second leg would then take place at the registered home ground of Dunfermline Athletic (East End Park) or Stranraer (Stair Park) on Sunday 18 May with a 4.05pm kick-off.
Both legs of the SPFL Championship Play-Off Final will be televised live on BBC ALBA.
These discussions have taken place and an announcement made as early as possible both for the benefit of clubs planning for the games and for supporters of all teams making advanced arrangements to attend upon confirmation of finalists.
