Christian Nade broke the deadlock, Peter MacDonald doubled their lead from the spot after Darryl Meggat had been sent off and Craig Beattie netted the third late on.

Hamilton Accies were knocked off the summit after going down 4-1 away to Dumbarton. Jason Scotland cancelled out Scott Agnew’s opener but Colin Nish scored with 13 minutes left. Alex Neil was then sent off and Mitch Megginson and Jordan Kirkpatrick struck in the closing stages for Ian Murray's men.

Falkirk also slipped up as they were held to a 1-1 draw at relegated Morton. Conor McGrandles put the Bairns in front but Rowan Vine earned Kenny Shiels’ team a point.

Queen of the South all but secured a play-off berth thanks to a 2-0 home win over Livingston with goals from Ian McShane and Iain Russell.
