Annan manager Jim Chapman is in the mood to write a new chapter in the Galabank side’s journey in senior football that only began in 2008.
The club have come close to moving up a division before but fell at the final hurdle against Albion Rovers in a play-off three years ago and now the ex-Dumbarton title-winning boss is looking for lift-off.
Chapman said: “We want to make history at Annan this season. We have been in play-offs before but never won promotion and hopefully we can do that.
“We need a point to secure second place and then we can really start preparing for the play-offs. It will be really tough regardless of who we face but it would be nice to be going into them with some momentum.
“We will keep going for wins, starting against Queen’s Park. They have a bit more confidence and even though we have picked up nine points from nine this season that counts for nothing now.”
