Annan manager Jim Chapman is to take on the role of Head of Youth Development in addition to his first-team duties.
Chairman Henry McClelland said: “Following an end-of-season meeting between the club and Rowan Alexander, it was agreed that it was in the interests of both parties that the club should look to appoint a new Head of Youth Development with immediate effect.
“We have reached this decision due to the ever-increasing workload and commitments associated with both the Club Academy Scotland programme and Rowan’s own business, Professionals Elite Academy.
“We would like to formally thank Rowan for his efforts and contribution over the last two years, where he has undoubtedly provided a high level of coaching to our youngsters. We wish Rowan well going forward and hope his business continues to grow from strength to strength.
“In the meantime, our first-team manager Jim Chapman will undertake the Head of Youth Development role.”
