Charlie Mulgrew quits Kelty Hearts

Manager quits role after 11 matches

Charlie Mulgrew has resigned as manager of Kelty Hearts, the William Hill League 1 side have confirmed.

The former Scotland defender was appointed as Michael Tidser's replacement in January but recorded one win in 11 matches in charge.

His final match in charge was Saturday's 6-0 defeat to already relegated Dumbarton.

The result was the biggest away win by an already-relegated side in the history of the Scottish League.

Prior to taking over at New Central Park, Mulgrew was in charge of Hamilton Academical's U18s side.

Kelty sit seventh in William Hill League 1, four points ahead of Annan Athletic in 9th spot with four matches remaining.
