Nadir Ciftci got the only goal after 15 minutes as Mark McGhee's second spell in charge of the Steelmen ended in defeat.

Kilmarnock beat Inverness CT 2-0 at Rugby Park thanks to goals from Greg Kiltie, just before half-time, and Josh Magennis.

Partick Thistle ended St Johnstone's unbeaten home record with a 2-1 win at McDiarmid Park. Gary Miller and Steven Lawless scored in the first half but Steven MacLean reduced the deficit. The Jags held on despite having Abdul Osman sent off late on.

Hamilton Accies hit back to draw 1-1 with Dundee at New Douglas Park. Kevin Holt gave the Dark Blues the lead and Accies were dealt another blow when Darian MacKinnon saw red but Dougie Imrie levelled with three minutes left.
