League 2 Clyde have lost the services of their longest-serving director, John Taylor, who has accepted the position of Head of Football Administration and Company Secretary at Dundee United.
Taylor was appointed to the Bully Wee board in the same year they left their Shawfield home, 1986, and Clyde chairman John Alexander said: "Dundee United are gaining a top-class professional of the Scottish game and it is an astute move on their part.
“We can only be positive for John as he heads to Tannadice, but nearly 30 years of experience, knowledge and a well-developed art of diplomacy go with him. He will be sorely missed.
“We are saddened to lose John's skills and experience but appreciate this is an excellent opportunity for him to work full-time in football. Everyone at Clyde wishes him every success within his new role.”
Broadwood director Gordon Thomson will now undertake the role of Clyde FC CIC Company Secretary but Taylor has agreed to continue contributing to the club’s much-praised programme, The Clyde View.
