The Board at Clyde met last night to start discussions over who they want to replace Jim Duffy as manager after he opted to become the boss at Morton.
Former Stirling and Morton manager Allan Moore is believed to be interested in the job with John Coughlin, who has led both Berwick Rangers and Stenhousemuir to promotion from Scotland’s bottom division, also emerging as a candidate after leaving East Stirlingshire.
Former Dundee United, Queen of the South and Partick Thistle boss Ian McCall is another possible replacement for Duffy, with the 49-year-old keen to end a three-year break from game.
Clyde Secretary Gordon Thomson said: “We have received applications and notes of interest already but we said we would take our time to work out what qualities we would like the new manager to have.
“We have discussed that now as a board and the next stage is to ask for applications and then put a closing date on it.
“Being the manager of Clyde is a more attractive job now than it was when Jim took over and we have to thank him for that. We are sure that we will attract a high number of quality applicants.”
