Cowdenbeath fans that donate more than £50 to a newly launched Manager’s Fund that has been helped set-up to bring in new players could win sought after shares in the Fife club.
The Blue Brazil are looking to raise £10,000 to help Manager Jimmy Nicholl bring in fresh faces to help their fight against relegation and a prize draw to give away two shares in the club will be held from the supporters that hand over £50 or more.
So far £3,530 has been offered with a club spokesperson saying: “The Chairman Donald Findlay recently said at an Open Meeting that the club’s primary short-term goal is to retain its place in the Championship.â€Â
“Attaining this objective needs complete and utter 100% dedication from all at Central Park, from the Board, the management, the backroom staff, and all the players plus all the supporters. For the next few months we must all pull together.â€Â
“A Managers’ Fund has now been set up to help Jimmy bring in some new players to augment the squad. We ask every fan to really play their part.â€Â
The Spokesperson added: “Shares in Cowdenbeath are very seldom available but an existing shareholder has agreed to transfer two shares, thus two fans will have the rare opportunity to own a little bit of Cowdenbeath FC.â€Â
