St Mirren boss Tommy Craig is hoping his side can pick up their first points of the season when they face Partick Thistle at Firhill on Friday night, live on BT Sport at 7.45pm.
Saints are joint bottom of the table, along with Ross County, and face a Thistle team who beat Inverness Caley Thistle 3-1 last week.
Craig told the St Mirren website: "There would be nothing nicer than to get this TV game under our belt and show the viewers just what we are capable of.
"I’m looking for our boys to be a little bit braver in certain departments. Partick Thistle are a good outfit who play good football at a high tempo - the type of football I like - so we have our work cut out. Based on the last couple of seasons the game could go either way.”
Meanwhile, Craig has confirmed that striker Steven Thompson faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury.
He added: "Steven will be out for the best part of the next three months. He has a tear in his groin which is bad news for him, the club and the fans as he has been a fantastic talent for us."
