Cunningham extends Stirling stay

Stirling Albion striker Sandy Cunningham has signed a new deal that will keep him at Forthbank until the summer of 2016.

Stirling Albion striker Sandy Cunningham has signed a new deal that will keep him at Forthbank until the summer of 2016.

The highly-rated 19-year-old scored eight goals last season, including the play-off winner at East Fife, and has netted five times so far this term.

Binos boss Stuart McLaren said of the player, pictured (right) alongside ex-Stirling striker Jordan White, said: “In the relatively short period of time I’ve been in post he has made a positive contribution to the team’s improved performances.

"Just as importantly, he has demonstrated with his behaviour that he is an individual who fits with the culture we are building here at Stirling Albion."

Meanwhile, midfielder Willie Robertson has extended his contract until the end of the season, having originally joined on a short-term deal after leaving Alloa in the summer.
