Debuts for SPL quartet in Scotland friendly win

Scotland claimed a 2-1 win away to Luxembourg in a friendly match on Wednesday night thanks to a first-half double from Blackburn striker Jordan Rhodes.

Lars Gerson pulled one back direct from a free-kick early in the second half and there were a few anxious moments after that but Billy Stark's team held on for a welcome victory.

There were international debuts for Andrew Shinnie of Inverness CT, Murray Davidson of 
St Johnstone, Hibernian's Leigh Griffiths and Kilmarnock's Liam Kelly.

Meanwhile, the Scotland U21 team went down 3-2 in Portugal after going two goals ahead through Chelsea's Islam Feruz.
