Falkirk have landed a December awards double after taking 10 points out of a possible 12 from their four matches.

Peter Houston has been named Ladbrokes Championship Manager of the Month and goalkeeper Danny Rogers was voted Player of the Month.

Falkirk began December with a 1-1 draw against Hibernian at Easter Road then defeated leaders Rangers 2-1, with on-loan Aberdeen keeper Rogers saving a last-minute penalty.

Wins against Dumbarton (1-0) and Livingston (2-0) completed a fine month and the Bairns continued their good form into 2016 with a 1-0 victory at bottom club Alloa.

Falkirk are second in the table and have suffered just two league defeats this season - they face third-placed Hibernian at the Falkirk Stadium on Sunday, live on BT Sport at 3.00pm.

The Ladbrokes monthly awards are voted for by members of the Scottish media, with a Manager and a Player of the Month selected for each of the four divisions.
