Dundee United moved to the top of the Scottish Premiership with a convincing 4-1 win over Dundee at Dens Park on Sunday.
Mario Bilate broke the deadlock from the penalty spot in 25 minutes after Gary Mackay-Steven had been tripped by Thomas Konrad and Ryan Dow drove home the second goal early in the second half.
Callum Morris headed the third from a Paul Paton free-kick on the hour mark and fellow defender Keith Watson scored No 4 with another header in 78 minutes.
Konrad saw red for a second booking late on but Paul Hartley’s men pulled one back through Greg Stewart in stoppage time.
Dundee, who were previously unbeaten in the Premiership, have the chance for revenge on Wednesday when the city rivals meet again at Tannadice in the third round of the League Cup.
In the day's later game, Celtic drew 1-1 with Motherwell at Parkhead. John Sutton gave the visitors a first-half lead but Kris Commons equalised from the penalty spot midway through the second period.
