Aberdeen and St Johnstone bowed out of the Europa League in the third qualifying round on Thursday evening.
The Dons were beaten 3-2 by Real Sociedad at Pittodrie, with the Spaniards booking their place in Friday's play-off draw with a 5-2 aggregate success.
Xabi Prieto gave the visitors the lead but Peter Pawlett and Mark Reynolds scored either side of the interval to give Derek McInnes' men hope. Prieto equalised with four minutes remaining and Markel Bergara claimed an injury-time winner for Real.
St Johnstone, trailing 2-1 from the home leg against Spartak Trnava, went ahead in Slovakia when Stevie May struck just before half-time but Martin Mikovic levelled with eight minutes left and it finished 1-1, with the hosts progressing 3-2 on aggregate.
