Aberdeen beat Dundee United 1-0 at Pittodrie in the weekend's only Premiership game to close to within five points of leaders Celtic.
Adam Rooney scored the only goal shortly before half-time and the Dons held on despite having Barry Robson sent off with 18 minutes left.
The result also guarantees Europa League football for Derek McInnes' side next term while United remain in fourth spot, just ahead of St Johnstone.
