Queen of the South defender Andy Dowie has given the club a boost ahead of Saturday's play-off against Rangers by signing a new contract.
The 32-year-old began his career as a youngster at Ibrox and has also played for Partick Thistle, Stranraer, Ross County and Dunfermline.
Palmerston boss James Fowler told the club website: "Andy has been outstanding this season and to have secured him for another year is fantastic. We see him as a key part of the squad - having already re-signed Chris Higgins, Derek Lyle and Iain Russell, this is really positive news."
