Dundee have re-signed their Player of the Year from last season, Gary Irvine, despite the former Celtic youth attracting interest from elsewhere.
The 27-year-old never made a top team breakthrough at Parkhead and he gained experience on loan at Ross County in the first half of season 2006/07 before joining a then First Division St. Johnstone on loan.
Irvine won the Challenge Cup with the Saints and a First Division Winners medal as well as playing over 20 times in the SPL before joining the Dens Park men in the summer of 2010 and he has played in over 70 games for the Dark Blues since.
Irvine said, “It is good to get things sorted and get back into training with the guys. I am looking forward to building on a good season.”
