Dundee United manager Ray McKinnon has made midfielder Fraser Fyvie his 11th signing of the summer on an initial one-year deal.
The former Aberdeen, Wigan and Hibernian player makes the move to Tannadice ahead of Saturday's Championship opener away to Inverness Caley Thistle.
Boss Ray McKinnon told the club website: “Fraser is an experienced, excellent midfielder who fits the criteria we are looking for. He will enhance our midfield and our dressing room."
