Nathan Austin scored twice and Kevin Smith sealed the win while Dylan Easton scored for City, who were previously unbeaten at home in the league.

Third-placed Queen's Park and Berwick Rangers drew 0-0 at Hampden.

Clyde occupy the final play-off place after a thrilling 3-3 draw against an Annan team just below them on goal difference. The hosts led 2-0 at Galabank with a Josh Todd double but Clyde stormed back with two goals from Sean Higgins and one from Scott McLaughlin, only for Peter Weatherson to equalise late on.

Stirling Albion are just a point outside the top four after substitute Craig Beattie scored late on in a 1-0 home win over Arbroath.

Montrose won 4-2 away to bottom club East Stirlingshire. Chris Templeman scored twice and Gary Fraser and Adrian Mallagaray were also on target for the visitors while David McKenna and Jordan Cairnie netted for Shire.
