East Fife moved four points clear at the Ladbrokes League 2 summit thanks to a 1-0 win against Arbroath on Saturday.

On-loan St Johnstone defender Jason Kerr got the only goal after 26 minutes at Gayfield as Gary Naysmith's men claimed an important victory.

Second-placed Clyde needed a last-gasp penalty from Scott Linton to secure a 3-3 draw with Montrose at Broadwood. Adrian Mallagaray had the visitors ahead but Jordan Kirkpatrick and Scott Durie replied. Terry Masson and Gary Fraser made it 3-2 Montrose but Linton levelled from the spot.

Elgin hit back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Annan at Borough Briggs. Josh Todd and Smart Osadolor had the visitors in control but Kyle MacLeod and Brian Cameron (penalty) earned City a precious point. Both sides finished with 10 men after Marc McKenzie and Matty Flynn saw red in stoppage time.

Queen's Park remain just outside the top four after a 1-1 draw with Stirling Albion at Hampden. Chris Duggan gave the Spiders a first-half lead but Steven Doris equalised.

Bottom club East Stirlingshire drew 0-0 with Berwick Rangers at Ochilview.
