East Stirlingshire have praised their fans and players, as well as referee Craig Charleston, for the donations that were made for the Falkirk Food Bank ahead of Saturday’s 3-0 win over Elgin.
Club chairman Tony Ford said: “The donations far exceeded expectations and it was great to see the players and Craig get involved as well. They will now be sorted out and given to some of Falkirk’s neediest families.
"The Falkirk Food Bank works in conjunction with social workers, health professionals and others in the care sector to identify those who are struggling to make ends meet.
“As well as the donation of food, those at Saturday’s game also gave cash to help the Falkirk Food Bank with its important work.”
