Dunfermline Athletic striker Faissal El Bakhtaoui has been voted Ladbrokes League 1 Player of the Month for August after a superb start to the season.
The Moroccan netted 12 goals in all competitions last month, including five in Ladbrokes League 1. El Bakhtaoui scored doubles as the Pars thrashed Brechin City (6-1) and Cowdenbeath (7-1) and was also on target in the 3-1 victory over Stranraer.
Allan Johnston’s side - who are bookies’ favourites for the title - ended the month in second place in the table, one point behind leaders Forfar Athletic.
The Ladbrokes monthly awards are voted for by members of the Scottish media, with a Manager and a Player of the Month selected for each of the four divisions.
