Elgin City were the only side to record a win in Ladbrokes League 2 on Saturday as they beat Cowdenbeath 3-1 at Borough Briggs.

Brian Cameron, Archie MacPhee and Shane Sutherland were all on target for Jim Weir's men before Brian Ross pulled one back.

That moved Elgin to within a point of leaders Forfar Athletic, who were held to a 1-1 draw by bottom club Edinburgh City at Station Park. Ouzy See gave City the lead but Danny Denholm denied them a first victory with a 68th-minute equaliser.

Third-placed Clyde hit back to draw 1-1 with Stirling Albion at Broadwood, with Peter MacDonald cancelling out Marc McKenzie's opener.

It was also 1-1 between Berwick Rangers and Arbroath at Shielfield. David Gold gave the Red Lichties the lead but Steven Thomson equalised.
