The 31-year-old former Dundee United player, who also had two spells at Firhill, makes the move on a contract until the end of next season.
Livi boss Gary Holt told the club website: “Chris is a creative player who works extremely hard for the team, scores goals and brings others into the game.
“He will be a great addition to our squad and we are still looking at a couple of targets which will help us hopefully kick on for the remainder of the season.”
