Dumbarton are appearing in their first Challenge Cup final when they play Inverness Caley Thistle at McDiarmid Park on Saturday.

The Sons have a poor record in the competition since it began as the Centenary Cup back in 1990/91 but have enjoyed a terrific run under Stevie Aitken in this season's IRN-BRU Cup and will be backed by more than 2,000 fans in Perth.

Skipper Andy Dowie (pictured) is hoping to make it a double celebration this weekend as the former Queen of the South defender turns 35 on Sunday.

Saturday's game is live on BBC ALBA, kick-off 4.15pm. The referee is Andrew Dallas.
