Aberdeen midfielder Willo Flood has signed a contract extension that will keep him at Pittodrie until 2017.

Aberdeen midfielder Willo Flood has signed a contract extension that will keep him at Pittodrie until 2017.

The 29-year-old former Manchester City, Cardiff, Celtic and Middlesbrough player joined the Dons from Dundee United last summer.

Manager Derek McInnes told the club website: "Since his arrival, Willo has been a consistent and positive influence on our team and to our club as a whole.

"He has been an integral player for us, playing such an important part in our recent successes, and he will continue to be so going forward."
