Inverness CT captain Richie Foran has been voted SPFL Player of the Month for August after playing a key role in the Highland club’s early-season success.
The 33-year-old, who moved to the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium from Southend United in January 2009, scored in the 2-0 home win over Motherwell.
He was also on target in a 2-2 draw against Celtic at Parkhead but it was the Irishman’s overall performances that most impressed the panel.
Inverness CT are three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership going into Saturday's game at Kilmarnock.
Foran said: "I’m delighted for the team because you can only pick up awards if everyone is doing their jobs properly. It’s a real team effort from everyone at the club.”
An interview with Richie regarding his reward will be in tomorrow's newsletter. You can subscribe to receive the free SPFL newsletter by clicking here http://spfl.co.uk/fans/newsletter/
