Forfar win again, Clyde go second

Forfar Athletic came from behind to defeat Annan Athletic 2-1 at Galabank on Saturday and move five points clear in Ladbrokes League 2.

Max Wright put the home side ahead from the penalty spot but Andy Munro equalised and Lewis Milne struck six minutes from time as Gary Bollan's men made it five wins out of five since being relegated from League 1.

Clyde leapfrogged Arbroath to go second in the table with a 3-2 victory over the Red Lichties at Broadwood. Peter MacDonald got the winner after Josh Skelly and Bobby Linn had replied to goals from Scott Linton and Martin McNiff.

Elgin City are third following their 4-2 triumph away to Berwick Rangers. Craig Gunn bagged a double for City, whose other goals came from Shane Sutherland and Jamie Reid. Greg Hurst, on loan from St Johnstone, netted twice for Berwick.

Cowdenbeath hit back to beat Montrose 2-1 at Links Park with goals from Gary Glen and Kris Renton after Gary Fraser had scored from the spot for the hosts.

Bottom club Edinburgh City earned their first SPFL point in a 1-1 draw away to Stirling Albion. Ross McMillan put the Binos ahead but Ross Allum equalised six minutes from time.
