Excitement is building prior to the first Friday night game of the season in the SPFL, when Falkirk host Rangers.
The Friday night lights will be beaming when the SPFL Championship rivals go head to head in search of their first wins of the season, live on BT Sport, kick-off 7.45pm.
SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster said: “Friday night games have a special atmosphere and they are yet another unique feature of our league. Fans called for these games and they have reacted extremely positively, with high numbers attending the match, and also viewing at home.
“It’s great for the game that our successful partnerships with SKY, BT Sport & BBC ALBA mean these games continue. The more eyes on Scottish football, the better, and Friday night creates a great opportunity for fans in Scotland and beyond to watch the SPFL.
Speaking at TGI Friday’s, at the launch of #FitbaFriday, former Falkirk and Rangers forward Alan Gow said: “For a player, Friday night games are brilliant. We used to play them at Airdrie when I was a boy and they just give an extra bit of excitement.
“While the players will be buzzing, so will the fans. It’s good for them as it means those who work on Saturday have a chance to see their team and it’s a completely different experience.”
86 league games will be shown live across three broadcasters - BT Sport, Sky Sports and BBC ALBA - this season.
