The funeral of former Albion Rovers manager Thomas ‘Tam’ Spence will be held on Tuesday, May 15 at 2.00pm at Bargeddie Church, Manse Road in the outskirts of Glasgow.
Spence who died suddenly at the end of last month aged just 50 had a 12 year senior career with the majority of time spent at Stirling Albion where he started playing in 1982 and played nearly 150 games before moving to Alloa.
Spence then played for Cowdenbeath, Clydebank, Clyde, Kilmarnock, East Fife and then the Rovers where he played for season 1993-1994 before returning to Cliftonhill to manage Albion’s first team the following season.
His stay was brief and he went on to manage a number of Junior sides.
