The new SPFL season kicked off at Somerset Park on Friday night as Ayr United beat Kilmarnock 1-0 in the Betfred Cup.
Andy Geggan headed the only goal of the game towards the end of the first half as Ian McCall's League 1 side shocked their Premiership opponents in front of a crowd of 6,417.
The Betfred Cup action continues on Saturday, with 15 more group-stage ties on matchday one of the competition.
