William Hill Premiership

Gers, Dons & Well all progress

Rangers, Aberdeen and Motherwell all booked their places in the Europa League third qualifying round with away wins this evening...

Rangers coasted past Lincoln Red Imps 5-0 in Gibraltar to set up a third-round qualifier against Willem II in Holland next week. James Tavernier and Connor Goldson scored in the first half and Alfredo Morelos grabbed a second-half double to take his tally of European goals to 20. Jermain Defoe was also on target for the Ibrox men.

Aberdeen will play Sporting Lisbon in Portugal in the next round thanks to a 2-0 win over Viking Stavanger in Norway. Ross McCrorie opened the scoring and Ryan Hedges got the second goal direct from a corner.

Motherwell led 2-0 Coleraine at the break with goals from Callum Lang and Tony Watt but a pair of Ben Doherty penalties hauled the hosts level and Well had Bevis Mugabe sent off.

It was still 2-2 after extra time but the Steelmen went through 3-0 on penalties with Trevor Carson saving all three of the Coleraine spot-kicks. Stephen Robinson's team travel to Israel to face Hapoel Beer Sheva in qualifying round three.

Celtic are still waiting to discover their opponents next week after the tie between Riga and Tre Fiori was abandoned due to high winds with the score 0-0 - it will be completed on Friday.
