So August was a busy month for Scottish football. The new season kicked off with a bang with fixtures coming thick and fast. We were treated to some fabulous strikes across the league, Scottish League Cup and Petrofac Training Cup.
It’s time for you to decide who picks up the first Goal of the Month award. We’ve shortlisted ten goals for you to choose from!
Candidates for August’s competition range from the sublime to the ridiculous! There are crackers like Mario Bilate’s thunderous drive for Dundee United against Motherwell and Sam Nicholson’s fabulous solo effort for Hearts in the Edinburgh derby. There was no way we could ignore Hibs goalie Mark Oxley netting against Livingston, from his own half, at a sunny Easter Road on the opening day of the season.
