Hannah linked with Shire post

Well-travelled former Celtic and Dundee United midfielder David Hannah is the latest name to be linked with the job as head coach of East Stirlingshire

Well-travelled former Celtic and Dundee United midfielder David Hannah is the latest name to be linked with the job as head coach of East Stirlingshire.

Shire are seeking a replacement for John Coughlin, who has turned down the offer of a new contract after three years in charge of the League 2 club.

Hannah, who had a brief spell as Montrose boss in 2008, is presently coaching in Canada but has contacted East Stirlingshire about the position.

Chairman Tony Ford said: “David got in touch this week to discuss the job. He is keen to return to Scotland for the right opportunity and we had a good discussion over what the job here involves.”
