Harkins returns to Firhill

Partick Thistle have signed midfielder Gary Harkins on a deal until the end of next season.

The 33-year-old had a two-year stint with the Jags a decade ago and returns to the Firhill club after leaving Championship rivals Queen of the South.

Harkins, who can count Dundee, Kilmarnock, St Mirren, Ayr United and Morton among his former clubs, will be eligible to play for Gary Caldwell's team when the transfer window opens next week.
