Joe Cardle hit a hat-trick, Faissal El Bakhtaoui weighed in with a double and Brad McKay was also on target. Mark McGuigan scored for the visitors.

Rory McAllister grabbed a hat-trick as Peterhead continued their good run by beating bottom club Brechin City 4-1 at Balmoor. Shane Sutherland added a late fourth, with Liam Watt netting City's consolation.

Third-placed Ayr United defeated Airdrieonians 1-0 at the Excelsior Stadium thanks to a first-half goal from Craig Moore.

Steven Craig scored a stoppage-time winner as second-bottom Forfar beat Albion Rovers 1-0 at Station Park. The Coatbridge side, who had Scott McBride sent off, stay fourth in the table.

Cowdenbeath overcame Stenhousemuir 3-2 at Ochilview, with all the goals coming in the second half. Lewis Milne won it for the Blue Brazil after a Colin McMenamin double had cancelled out goals from Ross Caldwell and Declan Byrne.
