Robbie Neilson's side have hardly put a foot wrong in the Championship this season - here are five key games on the road to Hearts' title success:
Rangers 1-2 Hearts - August 10
Rangers went into the new season as favourites but Hearts came out on top on the opening weekend at Ibrox. Nicky Law looked to have earned the home side a point when he cancelled out Danny Wilson's opener but Osman Sow grabbed a last-gasp winner.
Hearts 2-1 Hibernian - August 17
The first Edinburgh derby of the season appeared to be heading for a goalless draw but Sam Nicholson struck with 14 minutes left and Prince Buaben converted a penalty before Farid El Alagui pulled one back on a day when Osman Sow and Scott Robertson were sent off.
Hearts 2-0 Rangers - November 22
The biggest game of the Championship season so far and Hearts took full advantage of the first-half dismissal of Stevie Smith. Jason Holt opened the scoring and Jamie Walker made sure with a late penalty as the Tynecastle side moved nine points clear.
Alloa Athletic 1-4 Hearts - January 31
Hearts had lost their first game of the season against Falkirk the previous week but reacted like champions - Miguel Pallardo and James Keatings scoring inside 12 minutes. Greig Spence pulled one back but Jamie Walker and Callum Paterson completed a comprehensive win.
Falkirk 0-3 Hearts - March 21
Falkirk were unbeaten in 2015 but Hearts moved to the brink of the title with an impressive victory in front of a crowd of 7,735. Jamie Walker broke the deadlock and Genero Zeefuik and James Keatings also scored in the second half.
